Female veterinarians were 3.5 times more likely to die by suicide than the general population, while male veterinarians were 2.1 times more likely to do so, the study reports.

These findings were published by the Journal of the American Veterinary Medical Association in 2019. This study was conducted from 1979 - 2015, assessing death records for 11,620 veterinarians.

About Me

My name is Maggie Cahill and I live on the North Shore of Massachusetts. Throughout my 20+ years owning and managing a veterinary clinic out of Gloucester MA, I have come to understand the pressing need for improved work-life balance and a more positive work culture within the veterinary industry. It has become evident that many employees are dissatisfied with their current work situations, leading to a state of crisis within the field.

My goal is to make a real impact by assisting other companies in transforming their work cultures for the better. By sharing my insights and experiences, I aim to help create a more fulfilling and supportive environment for employees and management alike.
